Here are some examples of sculpted ceramic pieces.
Horse’s Head


Black stained earthenware. Sculpted as a solid lump of clay then cut into three sections while still wet and hollowed out to a thickness of 10mm. It was then re–joined and further refined. Fired to 950°C. Sealed with terracotta floor tile sealant and polish.

Female Torso

White earthenware and porcelain in equal parts. Fired to 900°C. Wax finish. Mounted on turned sweet chesnut plinth. 10" high.
Sculptural Piece

White earthenware. Fired to 950°C. Wax finish.
